How dare you sir! I challenge you to sharp glances and rolling of eyes at 30 paces or the same length as a bar counter in Los Angeles.
I told a friend the other day I was “going to start becoming more of an @$#hole” and he said in return. “Haha, Peter Mercado you don’t have one bad bone in your body”
I got a letter in the mail the other day.It was a bill. Were you expecting something else? Well,I have received REAL letters in my life still but they are few and far between. Mostly great letters of friends getting married and such! It’s been a great year for that.
I think it’s time for a coffee today. My friend Jeremy is in town from London. He works in the media world so it’s great to have a perspective from “across the pond” as opposed to L.A. experts on TV, Movies, etc..
Coffee…Oh yeah, that reminds me.I played a small acoustic set this last weekend in Pasadena Ca. at a coffee shop for a friends art closing. It was pretty fun and the crowd was warm and receptive. I didn’t mention it or publicize it.I wanted to just go play to an organic crowd, have fun and then get out. All of that happened just as I mentioned. My good friend Jeff Garris did come and was very gracious enough to take some film documentation. Here I am in one segment playing High As Birds Fly in a sort of “bluesy” way.
High As Birds Fly
Thank you Jeff! Jeff is also responsible for the single cover for Valley.
Here is more information on Jeff Garris’ photography and other works.
I will put together another show with the full band but for now we are busy with just getting album work done etc..
The above image is of my friend Dave Schless caught on web cam in New York at The Shake Shack. I captured him on their webcam on their website from California in Los Angeles at my desk. Funny stuff. There obviously was some coordination.
So, I didnt realize I was such a “guy”? It’s time for an action movie!
Wrightwood is featured here on this page. just scroll a bit down once loaded
HAHA,no boxers were harmed in that photo shoot. I look that way when I wake up.
Someone once, told me twice in a row…It was not to be. What the hell was that last line? I don’t know but it is a line in a song to be later on a road down the way.
Nothing to do with the above but I really feel like three syllable words are great as the very first utterances in a song that start with that word. For songs with a slower tempo. Sometimes.
So, I didnt really put this entry out exactly when I put it together.
